English Muffins
I grew up eating them mainly butter-only, but now I really like them with jam. Especially my jam.
English muffins are the perfect vehicle for my black raspberry jam:
- Start toasting them in a toaster.
- While they are toasting, soften some butter. I soften butter by taking 1 to 1 1/2 Tbsp, putting it on a small dish, and then microwaving on high for around 10 seconds, depending on the microwave. I think it's also worth noting that unsalted butter takes longer to soften than salted butter.
- Spread the butter.
- Add a Tbsp-sized dallop of jam to each half.
- Spread the jam.
