Garbage Time

Garbage Time

It's like I was in a bad dream. 4/5 of the starters somehow all injured, and we had the most improbable starting lineup ever. Judging by the overly-effusive reaction by the commentators, I'm supposed to have liked this "great game". No, it wasn't great. The basketball was really quite bad.

I know. Let's get it to Brook. How many of those were picked off? Sam Merrill basically passed the ball to the Knicks like 3 times. Jordan Nwora hits step-back threes from like half court, then bricks free throws. Ball handling was tenuous at best. It really seemed like any of the Bucks could just spontaneously lose the ball at any time. There were more kick-ball fouls in this game than I think have happened all season prior to this game. Merrill or Nwora or Thanasis pass to people's feet.

At one point Thanasis drove to the hoop, and right around the restricted area line he dribbled the ball on to his own foot, it serendipitously rolled to Pat Connaughton who drained the three. So yeah, amazing, right?  It was the Drunken Master version of the Bucks.
