Moderna #1
There's a community vaccination site in the Milwaukee area that gets so many no-shows and cancellations, they struggle to use all their vaccine. I'm not eligible for the vaccine yet, but I somehow managed to get it. I know the public health officials want people to get vaccinated near where they live, but I heard ethicists on the Podcast-19 podcast explain it's better to not let vaccine go to waste and to vaccinate the population as fast as possible, than to deny opportunists vaccine because they aren't who the vaccine was meant for. The 1a, 1b, 1c eligibility group strategy isn't something I have to think is a great idea anyway. If public health officials had any good ideas, maybe they wouldn't have done such a terrible job with the pandemic. It was a whole morning of driving but I look forward to doing it again in four weeks.
