Opening Day
After I saw this, my first thought was that "wow, last year's opening day was crazy too when Lorenzo Cain stole that home run". But oh wait... that wasn't last year, that was 2019. 2020 just doesn't register in so many ways.
I'm really happy to see:
- that Brandon Woodruff didn't start with a loss.
- Christian Yelich looks good.
- Travis Shaw is making up for some past scuffling with some big at-bats.
- Josh Hader threw a pitch 100 mph.
All in all, a great start to the season against a tough team who really had it in the bag until some sort of rally cap voodoo black magic prompted the Twins closer – a very good closer by the way – blow it in the bottom of the 9th.
