Really Strong

Really Strong

This clip of this lady deadlifting pops up about 10 times per Bucks/Brewers game because it's included in a commercial for Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin. I don't really know why this hospital advertises so heavily. If I were a patient there, I'd probably be more interested in the hospital spending more money on medical machinery or whatever. But I don't know, maybe if I slice off my arm by accident and I'm bleeding to death, I think I'll drive 75 minutes to get treated at that hospital instead of the loser ones around me that don't advertise during Bucks/Brewers games.

Anyway. Is she what, like 75? Is that 500 lbs?

  • plates are 45 lbs
  • bar is 45 lbs
  • little clamp things are negligible, maybe 1 lb
(10 x 45) + 45 + 1 = 496

Maybe those aren't iron plates. Normally the bar starts bending at about 400 lbs. If that's 496 lbs, that would mean 225 kg, which according to this website, puts that deadlift near the world record among the heavyweight competitors, who aren't typically in their seventies.

I could deadlift 330 lbs once upon a time. I probably need some more muscle strength.
