The Block Heard Around The World
The way things were going, it really seemed like a game-winning block.
What, wait, what? I normally wouldn't credit Tim Legler with anything more than lazy, obvious insight, but he summed it up: there's only one person on earth that can possibly block that... and he did.
Just insane.
And the way things were going, it really seemed like it was a game-winning block. I understand that blocks don't actually score points for a team, but it kinda sorta did. At that stage in the 4th quarter, Devin Booker had committed his 6th and 7th fouls, but was still in the game. Jae Crowder was getting every call imaginable... some deserved, some well, less than deserved. The game was tied and the block stopped Phoenix from taking the lead (which they had 95% of the game), and Phoenix would never regain the lead.
It really seems like the Bucks got out of jail. Just how frustrating this team is, must be, like, historic. So many bad shots. And then they get good shots and still manage to miss at point-blank at a high high rate.
