Up But Not Out

This one is from Working Draft Beer Company, of which I'm a fan. I think their taproom is particularly nice. It's sorta upscale and hipster but very welcoming and just a very friendly place. Working Draft took a very strong response to COVID, shutting down their restaurant and having a rigorously contact-limited procedure to the limited pickup. Crowlers were selling out and became a hot commodity but eventually they were brewing enough to keep up with demand.
I like just about any belgian or belgian-ish beer that isn't sour and this is no exception. I like some of the sours too, just not as automatically as otherwise. Belgian IPAs are interesting. They aren't citrusy. They don't have a ton of pine notes like the west coast IPAs. They're not hazy. They're not "double" or "imperial". But they're different. I can't quite articulate exactly how, but it's sort of along the same lines as a tangerine being different from an orange.
