Veneration

Veneration

This beer from 3 Sheeps is another that's up my alley. The high gravity, intense flavor alley. I have a few other beer alleys, and this is the one I usually leave for the end of the night. A dessert of sorts.

This beer is a Belgian quad with fig and molasses added, aged in rye whiskey barrels. A bunch of big flavors, and don't get me wrong, I love the sum of the parts. It does make me wonder though: how about releasing that progenitor quad on its own too, so I have some frame of reference? I think it's more/less obvious the beer is derived from something other than a stout, which seems like style most likely to be barrel-aged.

Whether or not I get my wish for a 3 Sheeps plain-jane quad, I'll still get pretty darn excited and happy every time I open a Veneration.
